Incremental backup

Incremental backup presupposes that only changed data is backed up, and it can only take place after a full backup. Consequently, incremental backups take much less time to perform as only modified data is written. It may prove very useful in case of online data backup. But the drawback of course is longer time interval necessary to perform a restore.
